Mr. Kite, shown here at ten months old, is CFA's Maine Coon of The Year for show season 2010-2011. He is also a National Winner, meaning he was one of the highest scoring 25 cats in the world of all breeds. This is a very difficult achievement for a Maine Coon in CFA because of the outstanding quality of so many cats of other breeds.The Internatoinal Cat Association (TICA)

Mr. Kite is also the 3rd Best Brown Classic and white Maine Coon, Internationally, in TICA. In the Southwest Region his awards included: Best of Breed Maine Coon, 9th Best Allbreed Kitten and 10th Best Cat of The Year. TICA has traditionally really appreciated Maine Coons. To be a winning Maine Coon in TICA is a great honor.

Mr. Kite comes from TabbeyRd Maine Coons, Cheryl and John Kominos of Westchester County, New York. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for their entrusting me with this fabulous boy. John and Cheryl have been breeding outstanding Maine Coons for over 20 years. I am honored to be their trusted friend and co-worker.

Mr. Kite is a brown classic tabbey and white with a perfectly painted on classic tabby pattern of striking black on a rich, warm brown background, highlighted with pure snowy bright white.
His personality is everything you'd want in a Maine Coon: extremely affectionate, intelligent, patient, flexible and amusing. Nothing bothers this boy. He's self-confident and trusting. He's gentle and sweet. As a stud cat he gets the job done with enthusiasm and gentility.
To achieve these distinctions, Mr. Kite was shown at cat shows all over the country. He was always well behaved and showed himself off beautifully. He and I made many great friends in the cat world. It was a unique year filled with great memories and experiences I will never forget.
